In 2014 I finished 6 years with the City of Santa Fe working to improve local watersheds as the city’s river and watershed coordinator. We built new segments of the Santa Fe River Trail; revegetated and stabilized reaches of the Santa Fe River and its arroyo tributaries; renovated sections of El Parque del Rio downtown; and created storm water gardens to catch rain and help things grow.

From 2001 to 2008, I worked at the Trust for Public Land. I was the program manager for the planning, design and construction of 13 acres of public spaces at the Santa Fe Railyard.  We built the Railyard Park + Plaza. Places to gather, celebrate, and experience community.

Now I am winding down a period of independent project management work, doing business as bd projects, LLC.

about this web site

This web site started as an on-line resume to share my work experience. Now, the site has become more of a personal journal. It’s a way to have a presence on the world-wide-web and share images of things I have done and places I have been.

The PROJECT galleries have photos from projects I worked on in the later years of my professional life. These are mostly community-oriented, “quality of life” public works projects.

The WILD and RECENT PLACES galleries have photos from places I have been, and things I have done, mostly in the wild.

DIAMANTE gallery. A group of photos taken on our family’s land at a place called Diamante. Sixteen acres with forest, meadows and water, located east of El Valle, New Mexico, on the Rio de las Trampas, on the west side of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains.

I hope you’ll take a look.
